We spent Saturday evening at Somerset House watching Lamb. It was a pretty special gig as I had resigned myself to the idea of never seeing Lamb perform again (after a few years ago at Glastonbury) and it’s about this time ten years ago when I first started getting into their music. Somerset House is such a great venue and thankfully it didn’t rain. We had a free meal and lots of free booze thanks to an NME competition which always makes an evening that little bit more special! Also had a brief chat with Lou and Andy afterwards just to say thanks really for ten years of amazing kick ass music that has powered me on through both the good and bad times. It was funny that Lou recognised me as mister ‘funny time of year’ which has not happened before. Spent the evening stood by the speakers feeling the bass in my chest and even had a little cry at some special songs. Bloody good evening.
